ORA-00443: background process "PMON" did not start on ARM Linux

Folks

Im trying to run the gvenzl/oracle-xe:18 on arm linux as
docker run --platform linux/amd64 -d -p 1521:1521 -e ORACLE_PASSWORD=password -v oracle-volume:/opt/oracle/oradata gvenzl/oracle-xe:18
I can verify that docker is installed and can run amd64 images. When I run oracle image, I get following error.

I am very basic user of docker and need some point to debug this. Anyone know?

Hey @ajaya,

Oracle Database 18c is not ported to ARM, the only solution I am aware of that users have confirmed to work is documented under https://github.com/gvenzl/oci-oracle-xe#oracle-xe-on-apple-m-chips.
I assume, but cannot confirm, that the same instructions could also apply to ARM Linux
