Anyway to add hostname/ec2-instance name to the log pattern

Logs from multiple instances are going to a single stream, I need to filter them out on S3.
If we can change the pattern to include hostname that would be great, so that we can build an index on it to filter by hostname probably.
I'm open to any other suggestion as well.
