When files are overwritten outside the Godot editor, a modal pop-up appears asking the user whether to keep the local changes.
The wording could be improved to clarify what the different options mean.
What does “local” mean? When selecting “reload,” will it load the files from the file system, or will it restore a previous state? If it restores a previous state, where is that state coming from—perhaps a local source on the file system?
Since the files on disk have changed the editor would need to reload in any case. As such it is easy to confuse the expected outcomes of the different choices offered by the UI.
And ultimately, what's the effect of 'cancel'?
The issue is that the event is “Files on Disk have changed,” yet the consequences are “keep local” versus “discard local.”
Suggestion:
Hope this helps!
There are other discussions touching on this matter but I consider this to be a low hanging fruit. Feel free to edit/delete if you don't agree.
