As the premier way of playing FFXIV on Linux, I would be very excited to see this functionality make its way into wine-xiv and XLCore. I am not a developer, but since patches already exist I may look into adding them myself and opening a PR, but it would be nice to have feedback from someone more familiar with the codebase.

It's odd, I thought that since this was patched into Wine over a year ago, it would be functional in XIVLauncher.Core by now, but I am unable to get it to work.
I was hoping the same thing, but it's not just the Dualsense haptics that aren't working, but also the speaker functionality. Again, this is working in Proton. Otherwise, it works alright.
I recently came across this Reddit post, and it appears that there has been some recent work to get Haptic Feedback working on Dualsense controllers. The fix seems to be already patched into Wine as of 7.12, and there is work being done to implement in Proton. I have personally confirmed the feature working in FFXIV via this patched version of Proton.
