Feature request (Linux): Touchscreen support

I'd like to see support for touchscreen input in the terminal - tapping and basic gestures like scrolling, selection, zooming.

A working example is the implementation in Alacritty:

I feel like there's another discussion about this. I'm open to it but I'm unsure how to test it since I don't have a touchscreen.

It mentions gestures in relation to touchpad, but I couldn't find any discussion around touchscreen support.

I'd be willing to test and give feedback if someone can come up with an implementation.

Love the idea, however I don't own a device with a touch screen (nor do the other GTK contributors AFAICT). You're somewhat on your own in this regard... ;)
