Just wanted to document this in case anyone else encounters it, since I ran into it, and it took me a while to figure out what was happening. If you're using Noto Fonts CJK Sans and you're seeing strange rendering of some katakana character combinations (often those with measurement-related meanings) like the following: ...you can fix it using the following solution. |

All I had to do was add the following to my config:
I'm using JetBrainsMono Nerd Font as my primary font, and I found that this thankfully didn't disable programming ligatures for that (since those appear to be controlled by calt). With this change, the above now renders as: ...which is what I was expecting. |
