Splunk Output Plugin

Hello,
I'm new to Fluent Bit and I have some questions regarding the Splunk output plugin
When sending the logs to Splunk I need to send it to example.com/services/collector/event on port 8088. When configuring the output when I put the endpoint /services/collector/event I get an error while without it I manage to connect [but receive no logs]. Is the endpoint addition done behind the scenes for us? should I do something to point out that the data will be sent to this endpoint? I know there is another option -> /services/collector/raw
