This issue is related to this issue.

When setting up fink, I tried to install the legacy 'kolourpaint' package, just because I thought it would be interesting. Unfortunately, after multiple hours of downloading and compiling (my Mac OSX machine is pretty slow), the installation failed because of one dependency: xfontpath.

When attempting to download xfontpath from any of its mirrors, fink will complain that the MD5 checksum of the archive is incorrect, implying a corrupt download. When trying to download it directly from the source URL, the download will still complain about a bad checksum, although the source URL no longer contains the archive, as the website has been 'discontinued' since at least mid-April 2022, the last xfontpath commit.

This renders the 'kolourpaint' package uninstallable by any system as one of its dependencies appears to no longer exist.

I've uploaded a copy of the tarball to our SF space: https://sourceforge.net/projects/fink/files/miscellaneous/mirror/
I'll edit the xfontpath description to point to it here. In the meantime, you can manually download the file and save it to $FINK_PREFIX/src and then Fink will find it.

The copy provided appears to have installed properly, thanks!

p.s. I am aware of manually downloading tar archives and copying them to $FINK_PREFIX/src, thanks anyways for the info
