First of all, it's a pretty cool project!
But I don't see myself using it much just yet because the experience of browsing is actually better for me on GUI browsers thanks to extensions like Vimium and I couldn't find a way to browse with carbonyl with the keyboard rather than using a mouse.
I see that it's possible that extensions would arrive to carbonyl one day and maybe that would resolve the issue as Vimium can be on the table at that time. However Vimium is also limited as any extension which can only start reacting to key press once pages are fully loaded, so interactivity is not great with poor performant websites.
That's where a browser native key binding integration can win greatly and maybe carbonyl try to take that position by providing some key binding mechanism that allows the usages similar to Vimium, this might be a very good appeal to users that who's heavily depend on navigating with key presses that replace mouse for most of activities.
