We are currently in the process of migrating our monitoring system from a legacy platform to one that utilizes the Elastic agent, integrating it to monitor incidents within our network.
During our migration, we encountered a challenge related to monitoring the bonding interface status.
Our investigation led us to explore the code, revealing the use of gopsutil that primarily monitors /proc/net/snmp. However, we couldn't find specific metrics related to interface status.
To address this, we are reaching out to inquire whether there are plans to include /proc/net/* in the monitoring scope of the networking integration?
Alternatively, if it's feasible, we are willing to contribute by helping to implement a way to parse the necessary data for interface status monitoring.
Thank you in advance for your support.

Hi!
We just realized that we haven't looked into this issue in a while. We're sorry!
We're labeling this issue as Stale to make it hit our filters and make sure we get back to it as soon as possible. In the meantime, it'd be extremely helpful if you could take a look at it as well and confirm its relevance. A simple comment with a nice emoji will be enough :+1.
Thank you for your contribution!
