Hi,

Even though I have installed the Advanced Obsidian URI plugin, and have enabled the Markdownload plugin setting to export to Obsidian, the plugin button doesn't show me any way to actually export to Obsidian. Only one button exists ('Download') which puts a Markdown file in my Downloads folder.

Best,
Lyndon

Should work with a right mouse click inside the browser window (like in the chrome plugin), but it still doesn't work. Also it was mentioned in the release note in AppStore: - Fixes for Obsidian integration in Safari (thanks @aancw !).
So what is fixed?

I don't see this either 😕 I've added the vault/folder names and I've installed the Advanced URI plugin, but it only shows a "Download" button...

I am also not able to use the "Send Tab to Obsidian" feature that is available in the R-click context menu (click on webpage body) > Markdownload - Markdown Web Clipper. I get a pop up alert asking if Do you want to allow this website to open “Obsidian”?, but I get no new note in Obsidian.

Strangely, I just copied to clipboard the alert text and got a new Obsidian note with the webpage title as the note title and the copied alert text in the body. I haven't looked at the source code at all, but perhaps the markdown text is either not getting copied to clipboard or not being pasted?

Umm... in a strange breaking update, it now works. I don't understand why the behavior changed, though...

To aid in diagnosing, I have the Vault Name set as <vault_name> and the Folder Name set to Web Clips with no slashes or full paths.

@mjs271 really strange, I just try it again and it works. So fare I see there was no update until my last try. Suddenly the entries rin the context menu are displayed. So looks like I'm fine. Still have to check about the contents of the note, because currently it only capture the title and excerpt.

I am here to report that the Obsidian integration seems to be broken again on Safari 17.3 (and on MacOS 14.2 and 14.3). I have already confirmed that the advanced URI community plugin is active and functional with other browsers such as Firefox, but it is not cooperating with the Safari plugin.

Do you have any insights regarding what might be happening?
