Trying to set up ED with Oculus Touch #107
Comments
You will need to completely uninstall vJoy v219 and delete the vJoy
installation file, then download v218 from the vJoy website and install
that instead (available here:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/vjoystick/files/Beta%202.x/2.1.8.39-270518/
).
This should fix your problem. Note that if you are using Oculus Rift touch
controllers, the thumb joysticks will not work and it's more complicated to
fix that issue (you'd need to use one of the unofficial forks of vr-cockpit
and I've had limited success making that work myself).
Best of luck!

Hi there,
I've been following your instructions as well as the YT video here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndIan0YCL-I but I get the error vJoy
Driver version (219) does NOT match vJoy DLL Version (218).
When I'm in the game I get a massive red holographic warning that says the
same. I also often get the warning that ED is not in focus and I have no
idea what that means but nothing works.
I have zero programming skills and am very noob at any of this stuff so I
was wondering if anyone could help me out!? I love ED and would LOVE to
make this work. I'm also completely new to Oculus and VR. Sorry! If you
could help me out I'd be really appreciative!

Hello all, I know the joystick aren't working yet, but I would like to know if anybody knows how to setup the other buttons to scan, shoot etc. Thank you very much (and thank you very much dantaman for this amazing mods making my purchase of ED worth it) |
@Blasteur13 Both the axis and the buttons are in the controls menu when edit mode and menu mode are both on. Remember that you're not binding controller buttons, but a virtual equivalent on the virtual throttle and joystick. So you have to be holding the throttle/joystick while pressing one of the triggers/buttons to use it. |
Hi, from the vJoy-author Shaul Eizikovich I got the following answer yesterday: "This message is annoying but it probably does not affect your system. Replacing the DLL (inside the folder with Elite VR Cockpit.exe) solved the problem described (and led me to the next problems :-( ). Hope this helps - Stefan |
0.6.0 has the new vJoy version. |
