It is just small thing, but it would be more elegant, if the website icon is correctly shown in Recent Apps screen :)

Thanks so much for this awesome project :)

I came here to ask about this, I bought the pro version because it seemed like a plausible feature to be in the enhanced version, but it apparently is not. I know that apps which are 'installed' are able to do this, via regular browser.

I have achieved this in my fork in this branch here. You can build the app from there or I can do it for you if you need (securely via github actions).

I've removed the pro features because it's not my intention to steal the dev's credit, and the adblock feature since I couldn't build it to test it otherwise.

Some other changes:

  • improved icon fetching to work on more sites
  • updated some dependencies and replaced some deprecated code
  • fixed the UI in Android 15 devices

@bl4ckswordsman, you can also make a pull request in this repository, so everybody can have it using official version :)

Oh, and btw I use Hermit Lite Browser now, since it is working much better :)

The thing is that I had to remove the adblock feature to be able to test it, so I don't think I can just open a PR (also there's very old PRs still open).
And I don't know the actual plans of the main dev, he might be working on an adblock functionality fix.

Cool, thanks for letting me know, I'll try Hermit Lite too.
