Directions of diodes

Just wanted to make sure I got this right.
The diode should be aligned with closed part of the opened rectangle?
So the side of the diode where you can see a line is soldered on the side where the rectangle is closed.
The side of the diode where there is no line should be soldered on the side of the rectangle where it is opened.
Like shown on the image:

So, yes it is correct to align the line of the diode with the rectangle on the pcb.
