[FEATURE REQUEST] Add ability to modify other document fields

Similar to many of the other feature requests, but this may make it more generic and extensible. I would like the ability to modify fields other than Tags, Title, and Correspondent, such as populate Custom Fields, Provide a document summary in a field (context, custom field, or maybe a note?), etc.

document_type: Determine the type of document.
custom_fields:
           total_amount: Determine the gross total invoice amount.

Rules for the "document_type":
- Set the type of document. Only use one type from the following list: [invoice, rental agreement, contract, pay slip, diagnosis, construction offers, energy certificate, land register extract, reminder, floor plan, loan offer, insurance contract, birth certificate, identification document, vehicle registration, tax assessment, termination, unknown]

document_type and custom fields are a must have for me (I need for example to extract the invoice amount into a custom field)

Doesn't work too bad with AI, when I tried doing this with AI in a post-consume script it worked out pretty well to pull the custom field data and then open the database and write direct to the custom fields.
The challenge here is that it needs to be variable, so I suppose that paperless AI needs to extract all the custom fields you've made and then allow you to input a description per type. When prompting the AI, it can find the amount, name, category, or whatever you have set and apply that directly to the database.
The other thing that would make this work is to be able to put requirements for these fields, like amount must be a number/dollar amount, name (vendor / company name) must NOT be your name for example.

But I dont know if this is a benefit afterwards or useful in further steps. In the end it is fantastic to hear that it just works.

Can someone perhaps provide an example prompt? I'm not getting any results back so far.

I have created 2 custom fields in Paperless and also Paperless_AI, as well as 2 for testing.
In the prompt I have it set like this:

"custom_fields": { "main_category": ["xxxxxxxx"], "sub_category": ["xxxxxxxx"], "main_category_AI": ["xxxxxxxx"], "subcategory_AI": [“xxxxxxxx”] }

But I can see in the log that nothing arrives.

Maybe someone has an idea what I am doing wrong.

Hmmm I would say that is because of the names.

The AI tries to understand what a custom_field is about by the name.
For example a custom field for invoices would be "Total Amount". With that it knows what it should fill out.

But to be honest even I don't know what main_category_ai is about and sub_category.

So briefly to explain: I have set up Paperless so that the folder structure is created according to the main and subcategory. {{ custom_fields.main_category.value }}/{{ custom_fields.sub_category.value }}/{{ created_year }}/{{ title }}

I have entered the following in the prompt:
Main_category: Select a main category from the following list (only these categories are allowed):

I also get correct values back in the chat.

The addition _AI was just for testing purposes.

But okay, I think I misunderstood something about the Custom_Fields :-)
So basically I specify a field that has a unique name and the AI would then fill it?
