Did "Delete from disk" functionality go away on purpose ?

I've been pruning my music collection aggressively in the last few years, and do so by putting tracks that I no longer want into a playlist (a fast operation, never crashes). Every now and then I select-all in that playlist and "delete from disk" to make them go away.

That option doesn't seem to be available any more (I'm running 1.4 rc2). Is there another way to do this?

It appears there is a work-around, and I'll document it here if for no other reason so that I can find it again. The issue is that I can't select-all in a playlist and then "delete from disk" with a right-click. For some reason, if I save the playlist, close it, open it again, and then select-all the option to "delete from disk" is available.
