This debug is on my laptop because it was easier to enable and access the debug log but the behaviour was the same. Works on a reboot.. gets connected to the heart monitor. But when leaving it in another room for a couple of minutes.. and then when putting it on it does not get any values to the qz app. The heart is stuck when it was disconnected. Said 63bpm. But when I scan devices in Zwift my heart monitor (Tracker) is online and I can choose it and immediatly get an bpm value. But not when I choose Wahoo HRM 183 its stuck at 63bmp both in the QZ app and on Zwift. /Eskimos |

Hi! Thanks for the coding. I checkout the main branch. Did cd to qdomyos-zwift, did gh pr checkout 3019 and checkout that branch. Built it successfully. I tried both ubuntu-server with no gui and Linux Mint with gui and debugging. Same problem on both. If the heart monitor is connected and on your body before starting the qz app then it will be connected. But not always showing bpm values in the gui. I had to restart it and then I was connected and got bpm values. I then took it off and placed it in the other room. The qz app said Tracker disconnected. So I went and put it on.. but nothing happens and the gui freezes. Debug log here. /Eskimos |

Nope. Easiest way to test it is to start QZ app without having belt on. See when it connects your trainer.. but no heart monitor. Then to put it on and see the flashing (blue light) that your heart monitor is active... and then see what happens in QZ app... but no connection. Ive also tried having it on.. then it will connect to both trainer and heart monitor... but taking it off and see it disconnect and then putting it on with flashing blue lamp.. but no connection is made. /Eskimos |

Not sure about the time span... its 14.14 - 15.15
.. that seems wrong.. its about an hour.
I think my belt disconnects after about 2mins off inactivity. To get it
online again the best way is to put water on it then put it on.
During the disconnect this time i was in the same room. Just took it off. I
hope that answered your questions. I have teams if it would be easier for
you somehow.

the 2nd discovery started at 14:14:59 and ends at 15:15:08. Were you on
range in this timeframe??

This time it worked! Progress... I had my heart monitor on for initial connection and started the QZ app... I had to start it 4 times to get bpm values. It says Tracker Connected.. but nothing happens with the bpm. The fourth time it connected and then I got bpm. I took it off and waited for about 3 minutes and it was disconnected. I then put it on and then I saw that the bmp in the app was first 0 .. previous versions it always have been frozen on the last bmp detected. But now it reconnected and did show bpm. I will post all debug files. /Eskimos |

Okey.. lets hope I dont have similar issues on the server.. this was on my linux mint laptop. But in a server enviroment the service will start on boot up... and connect to your trainer... but the time of boot up is not equal to time for you to train... so I think that the QZ app always needs to check and try to connect to devices if they are in the config.. If they are connected the thread can paus or something... but when disconnected it needs to look all the time. Because if your server reboots during updates or whatever .. that might be at night... you still want your heart monitor to be able to connect whenever you want to do a workout. I will try this on my server now. |

That looks like a thing.. to check for connection. My trainer is always on... and always accessible. I could maybe try to check if my heart monitor can be connected. If so.. start qz app.... if heart monitor is not active I wont be cycling :) But I am not sure if that is possible. I will try the script with my mac adress to the heart monitor. |

I checked that script out and credit to the author.. but for me it was not working so good. It does not wait enough for all devices and seem to be a bit inconsistent. I created an own shell script that scan the devices and save all of them to a variable. Then it compares that variable to your specified device. It can be your trainer or your heart monitor. If your bluetooth device is found then it start the qz service if not started already. For my needs I have the script set to use my heart rate monitor. This can be a bit dangerous since I am shutting down both the qz service and bluetooth service if the script cant connect to my heart rate monitor... but I will try if this works in the long run. I have debugged it for quite a long period and it seem to work well. I am using a qz service that is not restarting since I want my script to manage the service. I will post both the script and service down below. /Eskimos |

I ended up with another solution. It is more reliable to start and stop qz service and bluetooth when you want to use the app :) I built a java application that exposes a local webserver on the linux server with the service below. The java app takes to urls: http://localhost:30000/start When launching start via web browser it will start bluetooth via systemctl start bluetooth (i found it good to have it off and then turned on when wanting it.. but that is just my preference) and then wait for 5 seconds and it will start the qz.service via systemctl start qz.service (located below). When launching stop via web browser it will stop qz.service and then stop bluetooth as above. Hi!
I am trying to run QZ on Ubuntu Server and have a service setup for this. All is working very good with no bluetooth drops with an Apple TV.
To be able to make the bluetooth limitations on Apple TV i have this setup:
QZ app connected to Tacx Neo2
QZ app connected to Heart Monitor
Apple TV connected to QZ App (accessing the trainer and heart monitor)
Apple TV connected to Zwift Click
When using this setup my trainer is always connected to my server and that is OK.
But my heart monitor is left in another room after my workouts. The connection is dropped and that is fine.
But when I am starting a new workout I would like the heart monitor to autoconnect.. but it does not. I have tried to search for parameters to change but not sure if there are any.
Is there some values I should change in my conf. I have attatched my config.
Only thing that is working as right now is to restart service or reboot machine :)
