Serial Port communication error

Hi,

I am using the attached script. I am using the Serial Port to communicate with Arduino.

When the script get to the terminal WorkflowOutput node, it simply crashes without any error messages (and consequently the output files are incomplete and impossible to work with.
If I run the script with this part (which uses Serial String Read) commented out, the script ends properly.

So I assume that there is some problem with properly closing the Serial Port after reading or something similar.
Has anyone experienced anything similar or can help me with figuring out how to fix it (despite the lack of any useful error message?)

One very strange thing is that the same method of reading from Arduino works in another very similar script.
The only difference being, that the one in the main issue here has a digital output node.
