You really should add a big notice to your README.md stating that you have abandoned this extension so as to not waste people's time with it.

Add a notice that it's looking for a new maintainer if you wish.

Additionally, you should have it removed from the GNOME Extensions registry if it is not going to be maintained as it's completely broken in recent GNOME Shell releases.
