[Solved] Annotation for tasks breaks down preview mode

I solved this, but I'm keeping this up, in case it may help anyone else in the future.
The fix is to disable "Inline Field Highlighting" in the settings of dataview, at least until this fix is released.

Unless I'm doing something wrong, the annotation mechanism for tasks breaks the preview mode of obsidian. Specifically, using double colons within brackets turns the contents into "code" for some reason.

It would have been nice if we could use the annotation functionality without hindering the aesthetics.
(hopefully, I'm doing something wrong, and somebody can point me in the right direction)

This is the fancy highlighting mechanism for task fields; the fix which uses better CSS was released in 0.4.19, which is already available, though it breaks with some themes because they don't meaningfully set background-primary / background-secondary for their themes. You can manually fix the CSS if desired, or disable the feature.
