Data Annotation: duration

I'm trying to create an sleep tracker using the duration type as a "sleep" field, so i would like to know if:

1. can I combine different units of time in the same field?
2. Is there any method to work with durations or are planned for a future release?

1. Not currently.
2. You can add durations to dates or other durations (via + and -), and access duration fields like minutes, seconds, and so on. The support is a little limited. It will likely improve in the future though I don't have specific plans in mind.

so if I put in a field: 7minutes + 25 seconds is still vallid or I should put them in different fields?

Separate fields for now unfortunately - I've filed an issue to track adding the ability to directly just write "7 minutes, 2 seconds" into a single field.
