Markdown table as source

This is hard to search the issue tracker for, since "table" is a very common word. But I don't want to output a table, I want to parse a markdown table.

For example:

| Name       | Developer    | Price | Genre  |
| ---------- | ------------ | ----- | ------ |
| Among Us   | Innersloth   | 4.99  | Casual |
| Dota 2     | Valve        | 0     | Action |
| Elden Ring | FromSoftware | 59.99 | RPG    |

I see that you can easily use a list with file.lists, is there an equivalent for markdown tables?

I do not see any way to do this. I have not yet found an open Feature Request for this, but honestly there were so many pages of issues that I'm still hesitant to file a duplicate.
