For reasons I do not comprehend, the dropdown from the widget upon clicking is just humongous for me; though this doesn't impair usage per se, it's visually rather offputting.
Screenshot attached.

Widget version is 2.3.3, KDE is 5.25.7, display is Wayland, no NVIDIA, frameworks 5.107.

I think this is related to customised Font-DPI, Scale and/or screen resolution settings.
If you can confirm what your settings are, that would be very helpful!

Certainly.
DPI is untouched, but because the computer has a screen resolution of 2256x1504, I have the display set to 125% scale.

Seeing the same thing. I have a 2560x1440 display at 125% scale.

Perhaps this is because the use of Screen.devicePixelRatio.
For HiDPI display, uses may set PLASMA_USE_QT_SCALE=1 environment variable, which already scales plasmoids according to the screen scale factor. So if a plasmoid use Screen.devicePixelRatio to scale itself, it may result twice scale.
I just replace every Screen.devicePixelRatio to 1, and the panel size is normal, neither oversized nor too tiny.
