mac needs permission to allow incoming connections + firewall settings

As far as I remember, we have disabled the autoupdate for store editions and enable for the git release edition (but do not check in that enabled line).

However, an apple user has sent me the notification that we need to disable incoming connections in order to make the store or github version work.
Can we verify this and can we fix this so that this is tweak to the system is not needed for the mac store version (or is this normal to allow)

It looks like the AppStore version works without an issue. This could be an issue with direct installs.
