Hi
Since there was no update to the library, you may start worrying about its future. Don't worry, I actively use the library in my projects so it will continue to be updated. The issue with the last few months is that I tried to build a GPT that can also join us as a developer. A developer that can create PRs, do code reviews, help with documentation, and QA. I can't say I failed, but also I can't say I succeeded. I just realized it requires more time than I initially planned. While developing the GPT, I decided to pause feature updates and focus only on critical bugs. But as I understand that GPT will take more time, I decided to continue with new features and put more effort into minor updates too.
About open PRs:
There are some PRs regarding these changes, which is good news. However, any PR that has a lot of changes usually takes more of my time than creating the whole feature from the beginning. This is something I need to improve on. So, if I decide not to use your PR, please don't be upset. It's not you, it's me 🥲.
Next Updates
Here is what's in my mind for the next update:
I think I will try to follow this order too, but let's see. I will be sharing more details about the big refactor, but I have some concerns about it that I would like to share. I know it's not the best thing to keep changing your code because a library released breaking changes, but it also starts to take more time for me to build a feature, implement changes that OpenAI made, and keep the library clear from legacy code. So, I think the best approach is that the library shouldn't worry much about breaking changes but should provide better and clearer documentation about what needs to be changed.
Final
So If you have any feedback any feature wish or any feature you don’t like or your think it would be better to things different way, it is time to share. If you would like follow changes and get notified about it here are the social links to follow
