At the moment the slider is moving rather pieced. It would be good if it could be moved a bit more fluidly.
(A little color accent would be good too!)

Smoother as in the slider itself or the steps that the slider takes (currently 1hr for each step)?
We could make the slider 100% smooth, so it doesn't snap into place, but I think we still need some restriction on the time spans it can jump. (5min/10min/30min?). Can be implemented quite easily.
