I tried bookworm the first time under a arch based Linux distro. I randomly tried to add different epub files to the library, but bookworm always failed and I got the following error message in the terminal:

[WARNING 21:43:31.242483] [GLib] Invalid file descriptor.
[FATAL 21:43:31.248017] bookworm_app_xml_parser_start_element: assertion 'self != NULL' failed

[FATAL 21:43:31.248043] bookworm_app_xml_parser_end_element: assertion 'self != NULL' failed

This behavior is the same when I compile it by myself or use the package from the arch repository.

Possible and verified test files with that behavior:
https://www.gutenberg.org/cache/epub/100/pg100-images.epub
https://www.gutenberg.org/cache/epub/100/pg100-images-3.epub

On the much older version of bookworm in flathub the files can can be opened.

Thank you!
