Is sentry.io telemetry disabled by default?

Hello,
ioBroker provides the adapter to WORX mowers. ioBroker decided to collect crash reports (statistics?, telemetry?, metrics?) with Sentry.io. For ioBroker this "gets initialized when js-controller or Adapter that uses it gets started and registers with Sentry as error reporting tool". Does this imply that just by using parts of the Adapter, Sentry.io or any other kind of telemetry is activated?

If telemetry is inactive by the way parts of the community-adapter are used, a statement in the Readme would be much appreciated.
