Issue aws configure sso it is redirecting to wrong region

Hi All,

i am trying to configure aws configure sso from AWS CLI from my local mac machine

For ex : $ aws configure sso
SSO session name (Recommended): my-sso
SSO start URL [None]: https://my-sso-portal.awsapps.com/start
SSO region [None]: eu-north-1
SSO registration scopes [None]: sso:account:access

instead of redirecting to eu-north-1 region

it is redirecting to https://us-east-1.signin.aws/platform/login?workflowStateHandle=a6bb6246-43d6-40f4-a41b-7e964af46f53

getting error
Something doesn't compute
We couldn't verify your sign-in credentials. Please try again.

i tried with PROFILE , CodeCatalyst i am having the same behaviour any tips or suggestion

Still occurring now.

aws configure sso is opening up us-east-1.signin.aws even though the given region is different. Even if I manually paste the full sso url that it generates, it still redirects to us-east-1.signin.aws
