Is there any approver validity at server level or backend level

I'm currently working with a Temporary Elevated Access Management (TEAM) architecture where AWS AppSync connects to Lambda resolvers and DynamoDB. I want to know that is there any backend-level validation in place to verify the integrity and security of the data flowing through the system.
