Branded social image for reviews

Many social networks rely on landscape preview images as part of their display. Currently, album covers are cut off at the top and bottom in these previews.

I've wondered about this too. Pitchfork do what we do as far as I can tell, though Albumism has the following approach which looks pretty sharp:

NME don't even use album artwork:

Wouldn't be keen on that approach at all, I like the artwork being there, but figure it's worth sharing other styles.
