To pick up on this, having spent a fair amount of time with the data my personal preference would be:

Review folder

  • blur-modern-life-is-rubbish.md
  • the-chemical-brothers-dig-your-own-hole.md
  • tom-waits-rain-dogs.md

Article folder

  • a-late-love-in-for-how-to-be-a-human-being.md
  • soma-spotify-and-the-brave-new-world-of-music-consumption.md

Funnyfarm folder

  • i.md
  • ii.md
  • iii.md

And so on. I've actually found having the dates in the file names makes them harder to find (look up album on site, note down date, find it in data) whereas with the above approach it's alphabetical and you know exactly where to look. That''s what I've done on The Whale-Lines and I personally find it much easier.
