Problem with chinese URLs < since folderurl is installed

I'm having troubles with saving a page with a chinese URL. Following errors occurs: "Please enter a valid URL format and encode special characters!"

I tested around a lot on different contao-installations, and now I'm sure it's because of the extension "folderurl".
Contao-Versions tested: 2.9.1, 2.9.5, 2.9.4 (all the same problem with folderurl - without the chinese URL works fine)

Wanted the URL to be: 策略咨询
Example page: http://www.int88.biz/%E7%AD%96%E7%95...%E8%AF%A2.html
or: go tohttp://www.int88.biz/strategy-consulting.html/ and click on CN

Would be great to get that issue done so I can get the website proper running!
