How to export materials

How does pyedb export custom materials to amat files? I only found the load_amat method in api. How to export it?

indeed it's not implemented we support amat file loading. What would be the application to export amat ?
We can add this request in our backlog, meanwhile amat are ascii files it should be pretty straight forward to happen the existing one.
I will create a feature request.

Thank you for your reply. First of all, I have hundreds of materials whose dielectric constant and loss angle tangent change with frequency. Therefore, I want to create materials in batches by adding Dybe or DS materials in pyedb and export them to .amat files for the convenience of others. Second, I found the .amat source file is a pure text file, not an ascii file.

Hi I am not sure Amat file mechanism allows frequency dependent material. Defining those material is pretty easy with PyEDB. SOmething we can work on is implementing a dedicated config file based on Json to export and load PyEDB material libraries. Are you interested ?
