It's currently pinned to 4.5.4 in distro-test-containers but I forgot to add the pin in the example image:

It would also be interesting to know why it needs to be pinned and how/when it could be unpinned.

Version 4.5.4 contains features and fixes that ansible-test depends on. Version 5 is incompatible with previous versions and drops support for Python versions supported by ansible-test. The version required by ansible-test will change in the future, although there are no plans for that yet.

Actually we need 6.5.0 now, that's what distro-test-containers also does. #43 implements that.
