Autocomplete input with default value

Hello, I'm having the same problem with an old issue, but I cannot find out with the last versions how can I approach this. The old issue is this one. In my case I have a edit profile page, where the country and city are autocomplete fields. They work great, I just don't know how can I put the values that the user has already on those fields, so when he get's to this page, he can see he's personal data.

Anything that helps me know where I should look in the code would be very helpful, thanks!
