The current demo doesn't let you zoom out to bigger than the original image size?

I was, but a video is not very useful to figure out the problem.

If you look at the jquery-cropbox demo, that problem is not there, at least I couldn't get it to show up.

Please look at the bug reporting section at the bottom of the readme to open useful issues.

Summarizing: Create a MINIMAL jsfiddle that exhibits the problem and I'll look into it. You should not copy and paste your entire application and expect me to debug it for you, instead just provide me with a very simple example that exhibits a problem with jquery.cropbox and not with your app.
