Describe your suggestion in full detail below:
As their wiki page states, Dragon is both the name for the race as a whole and the short title for the mature-aged dragon.
That means that in the game the dragon race traits should be tiered to represent the life cycles they are going through, according to their ages. Those tiered traits would fill in exp as time passess, or if that's not possible for some reason through events.

When they are born they would start out as whelps, and be weaker than most races. Once they reach "adulthood" they'd become drakes, where they'd start becoming stronger. After that they'd become the dragons we have now with about the same trait modifiers. I'm not sure how many years it takes for them to become full fledged dragons, but we know that after 500 years they become wyrms, their final and most powerful stage.

There already seems to be icons about that so I wasn't the first one to think of it.
