I noticed I have some of the panels misaligned, so I gotta fix it. This issue is here to hold me accountable.

Items to fix:

  • panel placement.
  • clip placement.
  • linear rail placement for Y axis might not be correct, will need to confirm because it might depend on order of assembly. (1mm gap between YMAX and rear of gantry, which might be intentional).
  • tophat placement.
  • hardware is not instanced, there are several copies.
  • bodies are not aligned to the origin to export to the slicer correctly facing the buildplate.
  • leadscrew is not correctly modeled (dovetail threads rather than trapezoidal).
  • miniSB components not evenly spaced in CAD, but are spaced correctly assembled.
  • raspberry pi and SKR Pico should be simplified (render models left in).
  • switch to the typical heat-set insert models we use.
  • frame blind joints have m3x8 bhcs when they are spec m3x10

Items to consider:

  • rather than providing multiple STEP/F3D files for every hotend mount, toolhead, ADXL mount, etc, we have one STEP file and one F3D containing everything related to CAD. F3D is not a requirement here, but I like providing it because the materials/appearances look nice, and joints to open and close the door and tophat are fun.
  • DIN rail option should be shown, since it's supported, barring any HATs or PCBs on Raspberry Pi.
  • z chain is a little wonky and should probably be fixed.
  • provide single-body side skirt STLs for those who wish to use them.
  • modeled reverse bowden tube and filament need help (never really liked how they turned out, will probably just leave it alone to maintain continuity with the manual).
  • model a faux umbilical cable.
  • any changes to printed files desired should be lumped into the eventual PR that will close this issue, pending approval from the lead dev, Nemgrea.

Things that will not change:

  • kyleisah being sowwy
