While i am playing a deathmach in CSGO2, the VAC system kick me out of the deathmach, and says to me that something made VAC stop. Here it is a screenshot of the message.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Open CSGO2 in steam with the native mode(No proton)
  2. Play a while on a death match.
  3. Get kicked out.
  4. Close CSGO2 and go to settings on steam, and verify integrity of game files.
  5. Go again to play CSGO2
  6. And again and again it the cycle repeat.

something is triggering anti cheat on cs2 linux atm. ubuntu/debian based os's have the same problem. i'll debug cs2's executable on linux and see what's blocking the anti cheat

Ran it in every version of proton and also native, same error. I think it might be something else that's triggering it.

I have reinstalled steam and CS multiple times, same message has popped up for 5 days now. It worked fine for one day after a fresh Arch install but now I get this and can't play.

Specs:

  • AMD Ryzen 5 5800x3D
  • NVIDIA 3070
  • Arch Linux x86_64 with KDE Plasma WM

Things I tried:

  • Run in native/proton
  • Verify game files
  • Reinstall steam and CS
  • Reinstall graphics drivers
  • Set ownership to $USER for all CS files
  • Change profile pic and name
  • Timeshift back to a previous system build

None of these has resulted in a fix, or even a chance at queuing into a game.

For me too after mini Linux Game Server update. It's really a disgrace what Valve is doing right now...
