Keyboard backspace forever

When in Game Mode and I use the virtual keyboard. If I backspace once, then it will act as tho it backspace is being held forever till I reboot steam.

I'm having the same issue. It started with yesterday's Steam client update on the stable channel and today's update didn't fix it. I believe it might have started last month on the beta channel, since I found a December 22nd post from r/SteamDeck describing the same issue.

It can happen randomly when making the virtual keyboard appear. It's easy to reproduce by just spamming it. It pretty much forces a restart whenever it happens during web browsing since it causes every text field to get instantly deleted the moment you interact with them.

I can replicate this consistently.

1. Go to Steam OS Home
2. Up to the search bar
3. Let On screen keyboard pop up
4. Type anything
5. Hit X multiple times (to delete what you've typed)
6. Type anything - You'll see that the backspace key is stuck

I've tried to find a workaround but the only way that I found to fix it was to restart or to go into Desktop mode then back to Gaming mode.

I am also experiencing this issue. Pressing X and then closing the steam keyboard seems to reproduce it quite consistently.

Same problems when playing warframe on SteamDeck. Game keeps Hitting X and only reboot can help.

Yeah @rc56321987 I'm also playing Warframe on SteamDeck and it's quite annoying with all the chats and inventory searching.
