Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

I'm having an issue with FreeSync/VRR over HDMI with the official Valve dock. The top row of pixels on the external display has a flickering/synchronization issue when VRR is enabled. The issue is not very obvious during gameplay, but in certain situations, it can be fairly noticeable. The problem is at its worst when the Deck is first turned on. Toggling VRR off and on or switching to desktop mode then back to game mode can improve the issue. Instead of most of the top row of pixels having issues, only some smaller parts will. As far as I can tell, the issue does not occur in desktop mode at all. I have tried hooking the dock up to a different display (monitor) and used a different HDMI cable, but I got the same issue. Other than this freesync works as expected. Here is a video I made of the issue; keep in mind that at the home screen, the issue is at its most obvious.

Describe what you expected should happen and what did happen. No flickering should occur at the top of the screen

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Use official valve dock with HDMI on freesync supported display.
  2. Enable vrr and restart deck or you may only get the reduced issue version that I mentioned above when toggling vrr off/on. move cursor up to the magnifying glass or wireless symbol.
  3. Further you could try a game. Just pay close attention to the top row of pixels and look around on the game.
