Dota2 unstable on my Mac Sonoma - VK_Error_Device_Lost

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

I recently started having the following issue during game play which crashes dota2:

Screen freezes, then I get a spinning ball, and then dota crashes. Typically happens in a big team fight where there is a lot going on on the screen.

I uninstalled Dota2 and the issue stopped completely for 2 games but now it is back.

There is a new version of Sonoma: 14.7.1 going to see if upgrading to that helps.
