It currently has none, besides the MOSFET's internal free-wheeling diodes, and probably could have avoided us breaking down for our dexterity task.

Note: this presents weirdly due to the input voltage protection, it doesn't appear to be a short until power is applied, and then it just blows through fuses, this should also get documented somewhere.
