Setting Up VICE on PocketGo v1 #353

The opk files are not compatible with the pocketgo 1 console, even if you "unzip" the opk file it will not work for the Miyoo cfw, since those files are compiled for another processor. To use an emulator on pocketgo 1 it has to be compiled for this console. There is the Frodo emulator for Commodore 64, but the Vice emulator for the Miyoo cfw has not been compiled |

I have built the RetroArch vice-x64 core, which is based on VICE 3.5, and, while it works, it's too slow on this platform, reaching 25-30fps out of the usual 50fps (I mainly tried 50Hz software). |

There are plans to include OPK support in some future release of the system, but at this point there's no way to use OPKs on the Miyoo CFW. Furthermore, the OPKs you're trying to use were compiled for a different Linux architecture/system, as @salvacam has kindly and correctly pointed out. Even when unpacked and positioned correctly, these binaries will not run on the Miyoo CFW. You'll need to use software that's compiled for the platform. And at the moment that's Frodo (Frodo2Go) for C64 emulation on this platform. |

I know some people got hold of the PocketGo v2 and some put OPK files on the thing to add more software. The trouble is, the PocketGo v2 (the one with the PocketGo v1 design, but is larger and has a joystick and two SD card slots) is hard to find, since it has been discontinued, and I only have PocketGo v1. Now when I first saw the OPK file for the VICE emulator (Commodore computer emulator), since I had CurseForge installed, it was set to default to open OPK files with CurseForge. Right-clicking and clicking the Open With... option opened CurseForge again without asking, so I had to go to Properties and change the setting to 7Zip, which solved the problem of opening it.
Now the unsolvable problem in this case is setting up the emulator. The folder placement is very confusing and there are files on the root directory of the OPK. I don't know where to put this stuff on my PocketGo v1 to function properly. Worse yet, I don't know which executable to open first, so I went with an example, say x64sc (Commodore 64 emulator by VICE), but just jumps me back to the main menu.
How do I find and play with Commodore PET, VIC-20, C64, Plus/4 and C128 emulators on a PocketGo v1?
