Extension can't find encryption keys

Describe the bug
Can't open any sops file.

To Reproduce
Try opening a file.

Expected behavior
The extension can't find the AWS keys for decryption. It tries to open the file and then reports failure to find the keys.

Additional context

I create the env. vars in Code's terminal. Encryption and decryption work as expected in the terminal but the UI fails. What's the expectation here? I understand the extension doesn't help with this but we need doc which tell us what it expects. Others in my company can't make it work, either.
