So, the biggest bullsh!t from EzViz is that if a product registered on an account then it cannot be used by another one, unless it is removed from the first.
The internet is full of these registered cameras, and you supposedly cannot use them with EzViz's cloud and "no-local-control" approach.
Actually the stream of these cameras can be accessed locally and some (maybe all) settings can be altered locally as well, but EzViz is not advertising it.
EzViz Studio has an Advanced Settings feature where you can access the camera's settings locally.
Of course it is not turned on by default, but you need to fiddle with the settings:
After you set it up, you will be surprised how many things you can access on the camera locally. (Logs, Recorded videos, Wifi, Network, Image settings, etc...)
I have a camera which has a setting called Alarm Host IP and Alarm Host Port. But I haven't managed to make a use of it yet.
Here is a random HikVision manual which says something how to set it, but I have no clue yet what protocol is it using.
I have confirmed with WireShark, when a Motion Alarm is triggered on the camera, the camera sends a message to the set IP and Port, but as the protocol is unknown I cannot figure out how to receive and handle it.
Maybe @RenierM26 has some idea what protocol the camera uses for these "push" messages.
If it can be figured out then Alarms can be localized as well to do not depend on the cloud of EzViz.
