Feature request: Keyboard Shortcuts for favorite templates #334
Comments
Not at the moment. keyboard shortcuts are a very very limited resource, so I have to be careful how to assign them. I think if we had a shortcut (or a bunch of them) for templates it might be more useful to have a shortcut combo, e.g. a shortcut for reply with template and then a number for the favorites. At the moment I am using the shortcuts of the submenus after clicking the dropdown. For example: dropdown, R,A,1 = Reply, group A (quickfilters), 2 (German quickFilters template) After using this once it will be on top of the MRU list until I use a different reply template: |
...so I could imagine a "pin item" function for the MRU menu. For instance, this could "pin" your favorite 3 actions to the top, such as 1 - reply with template X In order to have a keyboard shortcut I would rather have a single shortcut that pops up the SmartTemplates button for following up, and then you could just use 1, 2, 3 for those "favorite" actions. |
I think that'd be better than what I was envisioning! I do have a reply template I'd like to use sometimes instead of the default one. |
I have one forward template I use every day more than any other templates.
Is there a way to assign a keyboard shortcut directly to activate it? This will significantly accelerate my workflow.
Thank you
