... and more columns/days you've set up to display more severe the blocking gets of course. Already 3 day columns in the calendar view and an activity from 23-0 o'clock makes it kinda impossible to read let alone to select the item/activity (behind the button(s)).

Besides the fact that I'm personally no friend of those hovering-in-the-middle-of-the-display-buttons it objectively just doesn't work in a non-scrolling view (... and also at the very end of a scrolling view it obstructs the view).

Suggested solutions

Idea # 1

Long press somewhere and get a menu to select the 3 actions (add, filter and share) which are so far spread on the 2 buttons.
In addtion it would also logical integrate well since those 3 the functions act on the just pressed area:

Idea # 2

Move one or both buttons into the bottom bar so they don't block the calendar view.

Thank you for more feedback! Hovering buttons are indeed a strain point. Unfortunately it seems there is no good solution.

Idea#1 requires for calendar view and records list to have different ways of adding records, which seems unintuitive. Idea#2 is good alternative, which I'm looking into. But it would require adding a second row above date and < > buttons, which would mean less space for the content (records). Or adding another button beside date button, which would leave less space for the date.
