How to file a helpful issue

Qubes OS release

Qubes Release 4.0 (R4.0)

Brief summary

Colored VM lock icons not showing up in qui-devices tray widget when using bspwm/i3. Works fine in XFCE.

Steps to reproduce

Load qubes-i3, click on qui-devices tray widget.

Expected behavior

The widget shows the vm icons regardless of DE/WM in use

This kind of still affects R4.2.

After the rewrite of the devices widget, the icons in that specific widget started working in i3 too, but the icons are now missing from the domains widget.
